This just in from Maloney’s Pub in Matawan.
It’s that time of the year again! We’re gearing up for our third-annual Allagash beer pairing and “tap take-over”. Join us on Friday, April 20th, to celebrate one of our very favorite domestic breweries. Tickets are $55. Seats are limited and reservations are required. Arrive by 7:15 for a prompt start at 7:30 pm. The menu is as follows:
1st Course: Prince Edward Island mussels, steamed in a beer broth and herb mixture, topped with pomme frites, paired with Victoria ’11 (Belgian Strong Pale Ale) 9%.
2nd Course: Herb & cheese stuffed mushrooms paired with Saison Mihm (Farmhouse Ale), 8%.
3rd Course: Pan-roasted rack of lamb & fresh asparagus spears dusted with toasted almonds, paired with Odyssey (Belgian Strong Dark Ale), 10.3%
4th Course: Creamy New York Cheesecake paired with Curieux (Bourbon-barrel Aged Tripel), 11%.
In addition to the beer we will enjoy at the dinner, we will also tap the following kegs: Fluxus ’11 (Biere de Garde), Big Little (B.P.A.), Black (Belgian-style stout), Four (Quad), Hugh Mallone (Belgian IPA), Thing One (B.P.A.), Tripel, White (Belgian White), and Dubbel.
Don’t wait to reserve seats for the Allagash dinner. This is one of our most popular events.
