Clifton/Ramsey/Woodbridge, NJ – April 29, 2013 – Join The Shannon Rose for an exclusive celebration of American Craft Beer Week (ACBW) from May 16 through May 19. Whether you are a beer beginner, fan, or hard core beer aficionado come raise your mugs and say cheers with rare releases of Sam Adams beers this week. For the eighth consecutive year, the Brewers Association is celebrating ACBW around the country to recognize and celebrate small and independent brewers and the culture and community of craft beer. In conjunction with this great celebration, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub are proud to provide a unique Tap Takeover opportunity for New Jersey craft brew fans a chance to sample 8 different Sam Adams limited release draft beers under one roof. Who better to represent this culture and community than one of the country’s original and most well-known craft brewers, Sam Adams. Using better ingredients and operating on a smaller scale, craft brewers make special beers, providing a unique experience for curious tasters and craft beer enthusiasts alike.
Along with special features every day and the exclusive line-up of draft beers, patrons can enter to win “Patriot Payoff”, a free trip for two to Boston with a VIP tour of the Sam Adams Brewery, shopping spree at the gift shop, dinner in Boston, and hotel accommodations and travel voucher. Events: On Thursday, May 16, at 6 pm, attend the Keg Tapping Party and try the rare New World Imperial White from the Barrel Series Collection. “Hoppy” Hour Friday is the feature on Friday, May 17, from 3 to 7 pm, with Sam Adam Craft Beer flights and Happy Hour food specials. Pair and Sample Saturday is on May 18, with an all-day paired menu and evening tap sampling. Suggestions will be provided as to which menu items go best with each special beer. Last chance to sample the exclusive line-up of beers is on Sunday, May 19, starting with Brews & Brunch, from 11 am to 2 pm, and pair famous Shannon Rose “Hangover” Brunch items with this exclusive selection of Sam Adams’ Brews. Guests are encouraged to come early and often throughout the 4 days to sample the exclusive selection of beers because they are in short supply and once they run dry, they run dry.
These selections of Sam Adams beers will only be available on draft at the three Shannon Rose locations in New Jersey for just four days, they include:
Double Agent IPL – the best of both worlds, hoppy like an IPA and leaner and cleaner like a lager.
Third Voyage Double IPA – this is a true Double American style IPA with 85 IBU’s of Cascade and Simcoe hops and a nice malty backbone of 8% ABV.
New World Tripel – a great example of a Belgian Tripel; 9% ABV complexity with vanilla, tropical fruit, and coconut notes, all tied in with a Belgian yeast complexity and a touch of tartness.
Chocolate Bock – are dark and rich with sweet cocoa notes and a touch of vanilla.
Grumpy Monk – is a medium weight Belgian Style IPA, with American hops complexity and huge Belgian yeast character.
Blueberry Lager – is a refreshing beer with natural and slightly tart blueberry flavors in a soft, Kellerbier-style lager.
Porch Rocker – is a light summer beer Radler-style, blending the flavors of German lemonade with a Helles Lager.
Backwoods Porter – a maple, pecan, bourbon porter; includes an earthy balance of roasted malts, maple, pecans, and bourbon oak.
