A couple of weeks ago we were invited to visit one of our new NJCB Membership Partners. Having had this visit on my list of places I wanted to attend I gladly accepted the invite and it was surely worth it. MoonShine Supper Club is located right on Main Street in downtown Millburn and has large glass doors that open up to the street allowing you to enjoy some fresh air whether you’re at the trendy bar or enjoying an amazing dinner prepared by Executive Chef Frank Falivene .
Opened in November of 2011, MoonShine stands out for it’s upscale and contemporary style. The beer list includes multiple great selections both on tap and in bottle. We enjoyed Brooklyn’s Sorachi Ace while sharing appetizers including a delicious Duck Egg Hash and had a Ommegang Hennepin with my Australian Wagyu Strip Steak. With dessert, a chocolate cake filled with a blueberry cheesecake and topped with vanilla gelato, I enjoyed a Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot. All in all it was a great experience, a fantastic dinner, great beer selection and beautiful locale. I even found myself there the following night for a beer at the bar with a friend of mine. As many of you know, I’m a stickler for glassware and they paired every beer perfectly!
MoonShine Supper Club lives up to expectations and is a perfect destination for special dinner or just for a great beer and great service at the bar.
