All proceeds from the event will benefit Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County Child Abuse Prevention Program.

On Saturday, February 1, 2014 Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County will present the First Annual ChillTown Craft Beer Festival (CCBF). All proceeds from this event benefit the VHS Child Abuse Program (V-CAP). CCBF will feature live entertainment, local artists and vendors, and plans on becoming the premier fundraising craft beer festival in Hudson County.

At VHS we believe “no child should live in fear, especially at home.” So it is our goal is to raise $50,000 through ticket sales and sponsors for V-CAP. This special program focuses on the family as a whole and staffs specialty trained Certified Home Health Aides to ensure a safe environment for our children. Dedicated to strengthening the family unit, V-CAP provides in home services to families in crisis.

Tickets are only available at www.vhshudson.eventbrite.com , general admission tickets are $75 and VIP ticketsare$100. VIPticketholderswillbegrantedaccesstothefestivalonehourpriortothestartof each session and receive a gift bag filled with goodies from local businesses.

We are designating an area separate from the festival for the comfort of our brewers. “The Brewers Lounge” will have full buffet and seating. Sponsors and participants who raise $5,000 or more in donations and pledges will have access to this lounge for a more personalized experience.

With every ticket, guests will be given a single entry to the Door Prize Raffle, with the option to purchase more tickets. Prizes will include gift certificates, merchandise from breweries, and donations from our community. Keeping with the theme of offering rare beer selections guests can participate in

our “Pop the Cap” fundraiser. Much like a “Wine Cork Pull”, guests can draw a cap from the bowl and receive the mystery beer that corresponds with the number.

Live entertainment will be provided by Green Villain and local acoustic artists. Supporting the local art scene, the walls will display artwork for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the event. In addition to the art for sale, an artist will complete a mural during the festival as the grand prize.

Supporting our designated drivers, CCBF will offer a fully stocked non-alcoholic beverage station and a discounted entry to the event.

The Culinary Conference Center is a less than a block from the Journal Square PATH Station and parking is available.

    Is there a list of the brewers/beers that will be there?

    I’d be most interested in the Newburgh beers, as they are a recent entrant into NJ.
