Next month, Firewaters will host an Oktoberfest promotion on October 7, featuring a Sam Adams drinking contest, a buffet with German food for paying customer, prizes and giveaways from the Boston brewer.

General Manager Ryan Capozolli and bartender Nanci Ewer were both available and accessible, providing great service, good information and great recommendations when I visited.

Started with a Stone Arrogant Bastard (excellent, as expected), followed with some trials, some errors. The Southern Tier Crème Brulee Stout was delicious; Victory Summer of Love Ale was crisp and hoppy.

Firewaters is definitely worth checking out for the serious beer drinker.
