This past Monday night I headed down to Iron Hill to meet my buddy Bernard from Unibroue and Stephen, a all around good beer guy/photographer and chat beer with some awesome people like the Barley Legal Homebrew Club, Gary Rosen, Tara Nurin, and Jay Rose! I had no idea they were all going to be at Iron Hill so it was an even better night. Bernard made a connection that partnered Unibroue’s Brewmaster, Jerry with Chris from Iron Hill. They collaborated and made an Ale. More specifically a Holiday Ale. Of course no one would disclose full details, but after sampling some of Jerry’s creations that he brought down from Canada just for us (and not available in America and one not even available to ANYONE) to try, I’m sure it will be amazing. Of course, I haven’t been to Iron Hill in NJ so I sampled many of Chris’ creations. The Pumpkin was outstanding and I finished up with the Rising Sun, a Sorachi Ace based Double IPA.
