Hello Growler Club!

I am writing very excitedly to both introduce myself and to give you some great updates regarding the restaurant and brewery here at UNO!

Most of you have probably not met me, but my name is Zac Conner and I am the new Head Brewer here at UNO in Woodbridge. I took over for Chris about a month ago (big shoes to fill, I know) and I have gotten up and running quickly and smoothly. As time goes on, I hope to meet as many of you as possible. Please, if you are around, stop by for a visit and don’t be shy to introduce yourselves.

The much awaited Scotch Ale is not on tap! Coming in at 7.8% ABV, this malt forward beer has big time notes of molasses, toffee, smoke and roast. I know Chris’s recipe was a huge hit in the past, but as many brewers do, he took that with him on to his new brewing position. I have made my own batch and it is going over with great results so far, so please come try that while it lasts!

At the end of this week, our other seasonal, a Rye Pale Ale, dry-hopped with Falconer’s Flight hops will be released. This is an light-amber colored pale ale that has a great hop profile, without any overwhelming bitterness. The rye helps as a specialty malt to balance the hoppiness and add some bready, toasty spice that is sure to please before we release some more winter offerings.
