Nik’s Wunderbar is celebrating one month of glorious “football” with the following international lineup. Beginning on Thursday June 12:

WORLD CUP RARITY INTERNATIONAL BEER LINE UP

Robinson’s Trooper – 4.8%/12 oz – ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is a refined style with a tea-bitter-like quality. Quite quaffable and a nice malt sweetness (England)

DuPont Posca Rustica – 8%/8 oz – Classic Belgian brewed w/no hops added and an excellent floral aroma (Belgium – yes, we do already have Chimay and Chouffe on draft. This was a rare and special acquisition for the season and the event)

BFM La Mangradore – 8%/8 oz – Foreign stout w/notes of roasted malts and coffee (Switzerland)

Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouche Brut de Normandie – 5.5%/8 oz – Unfiltered and unpasteurized cider (France)

Birra Del Ducato Frambroszchella – 4.5%/8 oz – Sour w/raspberry notes and a tart finish (Italy)

La Socarrada – 6%/10 oz – Ale brewed w/honey and rosemary (Spain)

Hitachino Nest Dai Dai – 6.2%/8oz – Orange IPA brewed with Japanese indigenous ingredients (Japan)

Cervejaria Colorado Vixnu Imperial IPA – 9.5%/8 oz – Notes of pine, citrus, and malts encompass this bold IPA (Brazil)

Aecht Schlenkerla Helles Lagerbier – 4.3%/12oz – Classic Bavarian lager aged in caves w/a hint of smoke (Germany)

Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale – 4.6%/16oz – American pale ale brewed w/a pilsner malt (USA)

Specialty Cask Tapping on June 26: Germany vs. USA

Aecht Schlenkerla Fasten bier – 5.5%/10oz – German smoked brew w/a slight hop bitterness. In English Fastenbier translates into Lentenbier which is usually consumed during the month of lent and only from a wooden cask. It has become a popular German treat that is now brewed more frequently and available outside of the lagering time that it takes to prepare for lent. Hence, no greater time to sip on a glass of this fine smoked gravity fed lager while watching the USA play Deutschland
