Milford: Joe from Descendants Brewing sent us over their event scheduled for Friday, January 3 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of locally produced New Jersey craft beer being served. Here’s what we know…
January 4, 2025 marks 30 years of craft beer in New Jersey! Descendants wasn’t around back then but 30 years ago Ann Hall ushered in a new era of beer history right here in Milford NJ. And 30 years ago our brewery was called the Milford Brewing Company. The name faded as folks called it the Ship Inn Restaurant and Brewery and 3 1/2 years ago we were so proud to begin the next chapter as Descendants Brewing. We’re so proud to keep this history alive and we’re thrilled to host a tap takeover with some of our favorite breweries. Flounder Brewing, Sunken Silo, Man Skirt, Odd Bird, Coastal Brew Works and Opportunity Brewing will all be with us for this great event.
We would have loved to have more of our favorite breweries represented for this special occasion but we simply ran out of tap space.

And a little side note. Our goal for 2025 is to break and set a record for serving beer from the most New Jersey breweries in a single year. New Jersey now has well over 100 breweries and we hope to at least get to 100 of them served here at Descendants. So if you know anyone send them our way and tell them about this idea. After 30 years of NJ brewing we want to celebrate and support our industry right here where it all started!
