I recently stopped into Brickwall Tavern to speak to Casey, the beverage manager for Brickwall. Casey handles wine, liquor and of course beer. He’s a busy guy covering a few restaurants for the folks that own Brickwall, but he allowed me to sit down for a pint, a chat and to take pictures. Brickwall’s food is freshly prepared and pretty good. They have your typical, bar food, but upgraded a bit with unique specials and of course a good beer list. Their large chalkboard does not cover the extent of what they have to offer, there’s much more on their rotating special menu. I was lucky enough to try the Sixpoint Cranberry Porter, part of the Mad Scientist series and it hit the spot. They also have on tap beers like Carton BDG right now among others. Check out the pictures below for a glimpse into Brickwall Tavern.
522 Cookman Avenue is the street address and the website is brickwalltavern.com. Check out the Facebook page too.
Thanks for the kind words Mike! We will keep you in the loop; We have some big things brewing, (cheesy pun fully intended). I'll be in touch! Dogfishead 120 Minute IPA, Lost Abbey Devotion, Rouge Chateau Dirtoir, and Port Brewery Wipeout IPA, Mongo IPA, and Florida National Guard Pale Ale are all on Deck. As well as Brooklyn Black Ops, and Dogfishead Pearl Jam Twenty Faithfull Ale in bomber bottles for those who dare.
Tomorrow night we will be one of the lucky bars featuring the early release of Atlantic Highlands' own Carton Brewery's Milk Stout.
Drink up,
Casey From The Brickwall Tavern and Porta, Asbury Park
