Recently opened in Randolph, Morris Tap & Grill lives up to its name. With 16 craft beers on tap and 40+ in bottles, beer geeks will be in heaven and those new to the craft beer scene will find something new to try. Draft beers are offered in 7, 12 & 16oz. and if sampling is your thing, they also offer 7oz. flights of 3 or 4 beers. The restaurant has several dining rooms to accommodate those out with the kids and those looking for a special night out; but a seat at the bar is a nice way to go if your planning on doing some tastings. Expect to see some updates in the near future as they plan on starting up “Meet the Brewer” nights in September and will also be hosting beer & wine tastings in the fall.

Really liked the bar scene at this place – the bartenders were friendly and knowledgable. It was really cool to see so many people scanning the beer menu and trying different brews.
I went there and like it, too. I had the Tap Burger, which I recommend. Ethan, the bartender, was really nice and allowed me to sample the Ramstein Red. He said that it was the most popular poured draft at the bar. Its brewed in NJ! I drank the HopDevil and was NOT disappointed. 🙂 Thanks for the write up!
The Ramstein Red is not the proper name, if I can chime in. I've updated the article to reflect that change. It is the Ramstein Amber Lager. I just want to make that clear because you will see the Amber Lager all around the state.
Must say I love Morris Tap and Gril! I love it for the people , food and drinks for sure!. I am very intrigued by this whole craft beer movement due in part to your site. Seems like a lot of cool people here.
I also meant to say what a great article Carolyn wrote….@.Carolyn it just turns out that I am Susan D’s next door neighbor! She said you were awesome…that is her words.
Thanks Liz! Maybe you, I and Susan can meet up there for a beer. I am slowly converting her from wine ; ) You can tell her I said that.
Stopped for dinner last night at the Morris Tap & Grill. Arrived approx. 6:45 pm. Was told a 10 minute wait for a table of 2 (they told that to everyone). At least 30 min. later we were still waiting. Finally got a booth after everyone started complaining. Sat for awhile before waitress came over. Meanwhile my husband saw the ants racing across the table. We put bread plates and glasses over the ants to show the waitress when she finally showed up. She made a flip comment about the ants being the protein in our meal. How rude! We got up and left. I can only imagine the bugs in the kitchen. Will never go back. Eat at your own risk!!!!
Shirley, I know the Morris Tap and Grill very well. The place is spotless. I also know first hand that the kitchen is as well. Honestly, I have also eaten there about ten times without any issue. The staff is very professional. I do know they have waits… and sometimes they don’t gauge the wait time correctly. If what you say is true I am sure the management would want to speak with you to rectify your situation. I am guessing this is an isolated incident but will pass this on for you to the management.
Morris Tap is a GREAT place. Everything from the food, BEER, and the great staff make it a winner. I have no reservations about this spot, have never seen an ant but I hear they taste pretty good. No, seriously, don't hesitate to go. Try the TommyKnocker Maple Nut Chicken Wings….lick your fingers, fantastic! They have a multitude of great beers, 16 on draft.
Morris Tap is awesome, was there Friday. They have 24 drafts, and 50 or 60 bottled. They served us a tasting platter with some new appetizers. Great! Yes, do not hesitate to make your way there. They have brewer of the month with paired dinners. Good prices. 4 stars!
