This comes from our friends at BWO, the Middlesex/ North Monmouth County area homebrew club.
New Jersey’s Homebrew Club, Brew World Order, will be having their first annual Halloween Homebrew Festival at 5:30pm on October 29th at the Ale House Tap and Tavern – 1899 Rt 35 South, Sayreville, NJ. Homebrewers are asked to bring approx. 72 ounces of their fall inspired batches for the meeting’s homebrew tasting which can include pumpkin ales, oktoberfest lagers, porters, belgium darks or any other brew you feel fitting for the seasonal occasion. BWO will also be having their final sign-ups for the club’s big brew, which will be a Russian Imperial Stout aged in a 55 gallon whiskey barrel for 8-10 months. Along with the homebrew sampling, local brewers Augie Carton and Jesse Ferguson of Carton Brewing Company will be in attendance as the meeting’s guest speakers and will make themselves available for a Q&A session. Carton will also be bringing some of their beers, including their very own pumpkin ale. Finally, to keep the party going the Ale House will be tapping four seasonal brews including, Dogfish Punkin Ale, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale, Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale, and Southampton Pumpkin Ale – as well providing live music at 9pm for those who want to hang around. It is a Halloween Party after all, so feel free to come in costume!!! Don’t forget the Ale House is part of NJCB’s membership club, which includes 10% off all food and $1 off drafts!
