Come celebrate the age-old brewing traditions upheld by the acclaimed Port Brewing Co. & Lost Abbey. On August 13, we will feature an array of seasonal and limited edition beers from both breweries. Whichever brewery you choose to start with, there is no doubt that these tempting brews will lure you into the aromatic depths of the forgotten past or cast you out to the deep, blue sea.
Surf’s up Dude! Paddle your palate into a gnarly wave of crisp citrus & dry apricot that will be sure to knock your flippers off! Port Wipeout, a 7% West Coast styled IPA, will leave you craving to carve up the next big swell.With a wave of change, up washes Older Viscosity 2013 & Bourbon Barrel-Aged Santa’s Little Helper 2013. Take a break on the beach and lounge in the heat, because these brews are sure to warm you right up! Older Viscosity in all of its Bitter Dark chocolate glory will satisfy your need for some sweet heat. Even Santa & his Little Helpers need some time to enjoy the surf & sand! This massively malty brew, sleighing in at 12%, is filled with notes of smoked Oak, coffee, & sweet vanilla. A welcome taste of Christmas in August!
The tide has turned, and in rolls a thunderous storm of deliciously enticing brews. We thought temptation was difficult for Adam & Eve! Lucky for us Judgment Day 2012 is upon us, accompanied by The Angel’s Share 2014 and an even greater giving of Brandy Barrel-Aged Angel’s Share. Welcome to our Eden, overflowing with Red Poppy Ale, Cuvee de Tomme, & Framboise de Amorosa, all blissfully sweet and sour. But alas! Evil still lurks amongst this fruit-filled paradise. What Garden of Beer would be complete without Serpent’s Stout 2013. Like a Bat out of Hell, oh wait, that’s exactly what we’re pouring! Track #10, a hellish 13.5% ABV Barrel-Aged Strong ale, is made using Port’s Older Viscosity & Lost Abbey’s Serpent Stout. The darkness is intensified with the addition of coffee and cacao nibs, making this one enticing brew that you will surely be unable to resist!
