The amount of craft breweries, and quality beer stores in jersey. the diversity in styles of beers brewed. and more important. the conversations and meeting of craft lovers throughout the state

I just completed my Ph.D. at Rutgers (in my program, it takes eight years to do so). That piece of paper that says “Rutgers University”–and all the sacrifices and hard work that it took to get it–is my favorite New Jersey thing.
(And, of course, all the beer that I drank to celebrate completing the degree!)

That would have to be going to Waterloo village all my life for educational outings as well as festivals and then being able to go back in my adult years for a beer, BBQ and bacon extravaganza! Now that would be amazing!
New Jersey’s history, especially the history of the first patent for a brewery. Obtained by Nicholas Varlett from Peter Stuyvesant. It’s location was on Castle Point in Hoboken, NJ where my alma mater is.
