APPETITE™ – A GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE isn’t just headliners Andrew Zimmern and Giada De Laurentiis – it’s an entire weekend celebrating the very best in culinary and epicurean arts. On Saturday, August 2nd, the daylong Wine & Dine portion of the festival will present the very best in wine pairings and tastings, cocktail and mixology workshops, gourmet cooking and dessert demos and more.
Sunday, August 3rd is Blues & Brews day, featuring the very best in local and regional craft and artisanal beers, including home-brewing demonstrations, tastings, barbecue demos and more. And as if that’s not enough, Blues & Brews will be capped off by an evening performance with the Edgar and Johnny Winter Bands, Vanilla Fudge, Peter Rivera of Rare Earth and Savoy Brown’s Kim Simmonds!
We’ll be updating the beers that will be flowing during the Blues & Brews day but they will be great!
And on each day, the Appetite™Marketplace will be open for business, offering food fans a unique shopping experience with New Jersey’s best culinary shops, artisan grocers, accessory vendors and more. Plus, each Appetite™ Marketplace vendor will donate 20% of their weekend earnings to our friends at the JBJ Soul Kitchen, located just a few blocks from the Basie at 207 Monmouth Street. Their mission is to feed people healthy, well-balanced meals in a welcoming environment – all without prices on the menu. The JBJ Soul Kitchen is a nonprofit community program run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
There will be classes paired up with beers from Flying Fish, Great Lakes, Ommegang and more!

The American Artisans class will discuss how to pair beer and cheese, style profiles, and the innovation taking place right here on our soil. What’s Brewing in the Cellar?
World Beers & Aged Cheese
The words mild and nuanced go out the window when it comes to aged cheeses. Taste the bold flavors and distinctive textures that come with age while learning about pairing beer to make balanced, flavorful combinations.
