In case you missed it, on Tuesday October 4th, Founders Brewing Company (Grand Rapids, MI) took over the taps at Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell, NJ, offering ten of their amazing beers on tap. The tap takeover was focused on the very rare KBS, an Imperial Oak-Aged Stout, which went from tapped to kicked in 16 minutes. For those not lucky enough to get a taste, many other outstanding beers were available, including Founders’ flagship Centennial IPA on a Randall. Other popular items included Blushing Monk, a Belgian ale fermented with raspberries, Cerise, a tart and dry cherry ale, and Dirty Bastard, a rich, hoppy, malty brew.
If you missed this event, keep an eye out on @cloverleafinfo and on this site for future tap takeovers – next is on October 18th with many rare Samuel Adams items including a Double Pumpkin through the Randle packed with pumpkin seeds and cinnamon.
I was lucky enough to get a pour of KBS, and it was definitely worth rushing to the bar for!
Cloverleaf is tapping some more Founders beers, including CBS, on Monday, November 7th.
Yup, we are aware of CBS. We have an article being posted this week.
