FOUNDERS CBS: The post-holiday stays merry with the long-awaited release of Founders CBS. One of Founders rarest brews— you’ll want to get this one before it’s GONE again! CBS was born when they stumbled upon some bourbon barrels that had previously housed maple syrup. We opted to put the same base beer as KBS, an imperialized version of Breakfast Stout, in the maple barrels and, after one taste, we knew we had something special. Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate meld together in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience.11.6% ABV, Canadian Breakfast Stout is brewed with coffees and imported chocolates, and aged in spent bourbon barrels that were once home to pure maple syrup. It can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience.
BLUSHING MONK:
Founders last released Blushing Monk in July of 2011; before that, they hadn’t put it out in four years. This is the first Backstage Series beer that Founders has brought back.
Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps their head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.
