Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub in Sparta is tapping their long-awaited for Oktoberfest this Friday, September 23, right on the First Day of Autumn! This style of beer is served at the annual event in Munich known as Oktoberfest. Krogh’s Oktoberfest is brewed in the style of German Marzenbier. Marzenbier is full-bodied, rich, toasty and typically dark copper in color with a medium to high alcohol content. Our variation has a malty flavor with a well-balanced hop bitterness and a clean, dry finish. It is topped with an off-white, foamy head.

To coincide with the tapping of our Oktoberfest, we are also having homemade German specials starting Friday night, September 23, through all day and all night on Sunday, September 25. Delicious entrees like Sauerbraten, Weinerschnitzel and a Wurst Platter, just to name a few, can be found on the weekend menu along with Potato Pancakes and Red Cabbage!
