Everyone is invited to be a homebrewer for a day to celebrate National Homebrew Day on Saturday at the Stirling Hotel.
The Morris Area Society of Homebrewers (MASH) and Sussex County United Brewers and Alchemists (SCUBA) will join forces for a group brew in celebration of the American Homebrewers Association Big Brew day, an annual event which unites homebrewers around the country. Last year saw record participation with more than 17,550 gallons of beer brewed by about 8,000 participants at more than 400 events nationwide, according to the Homebrewers Association.
MASH and SCUBA members will brew several beer styles under the tent outside The Stirling Hotel beginning at 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. They will raise a glass for the official National Homebrew Day toast at 1 p.m.
Homebrewers of all levels and those looking to learn more about the process are invited to stop by to learn how to brew from extract or grain, get ideas for new gear and find ways to simplify your brewing setup and procedure are invited to attend.
