Brand Ambassador – Magic Hat Merry Prankster
Job Description
Magic Hat, where ancient alchemy meets modern-day science to create the best-tasting beer on the planet, is looking for highly motivated, entrepreneurial and energetic individuals to join our team as brand ambassadors to market and promote Magic Hat!
This is an exciting and unique entry-level sales and marketing position for individuals who have interest in getting experience in a dynamic and fast-paced industry. Magic Hat Merry Pranksters are motivated, social people with outgoing personalities who have a passion for craft beer. You will be responsible for executing promotional events at bars and restaurants in the evenings and on weekends. Merry Pranksters will connect and engage with consumers about Magic Hat and will visit the Magic Hat Brewery in Burlington, Vermont in February, 2015 for additional training.
This position is approximately 40 hours per week starting in February, 2015 through September, 2015. The vast majority of that time will be spent on the road and visiting key accounts. You should be at least 21 years old, or be 21 by 2/9/15, and hold at least a high school diploma. Passion for marketing and the beer industry is a must! Job offers are contingent on reliable access to a vehicle, clean driving record and background check as well as a negative hair drug test.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Authority and Ambassador
•Serve as the Magic Hat brand ambassador in the marketplace
•Execute weekly on-premise (bars & restaurants) promotions and periodic special events that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling, as well as new distribution at target accounts
•Lead the communication and all aspects of the promotions, including: ◦Preparing the account in advance of sampling promotions (brand presence)
◦Capture photo and video content to share via unique market Twitter handle
◦Provide content to Magic Hat Brand Team and social media team weekly
◦Summarize success metrics of sampling promotions and send to both Marketing and Sales teams weekly
◦Work within the assigned promotion budget maximizing promotional activity
Visibility in the Trade
•Make monthly account development calls on the assigned 25 on-premise accounts in assigned geography
•Maintain and develop relationships with wholesaler partner, as well as staff, management and owners at key on–premise accounts
•Merchandise account base by securing point of sale placement to maximize brand awareness and product sales
•Gain new points of product distribution for the NAB’s portfolio in both draft and bottle placement
Other
•Adhere to the rules and regulations of the State Liquor Authority, which will be covered in the mandatory training
•Must adhere to the NAB Responsible Use Policy at all times
•Responsibly manage spending including being mindful of budget, keeping receipts and submitting regular, accurate expense reports

Requirements

•Valid Driver’s License
•High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred
