Job Description
River Horse Brewing Co. is a regional production brewery located in Central New Jersey. We are New Jersey’s oldest craft brewery and one of the state’s largest. We are looking to add experienced brewers to our team as we expand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making great consistent beer as well as a desire to create new recipes for both our tasting room and for production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Rotational shift work covering:
– Wort production on a 25 BBL brewhouse
– Cellar duties as required
– Packaging duties including bottling line, canning line and kegging as needed
– Participation in beer events including festivals, beer dinners, tap takeovers, etc. (We are currently mindful of all COVID-19 safety regulations, this will resume when it is safe to do so).
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSES THE FOLLOWING:
Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends
Comfortable working in confined spaces, lifting 55 pounds and moving up to 165 pounds.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
Excellent record keeping ability
Must be competent with MS Office
Reliable transportation to brewery as well as events
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of Brewing Experience, either within a production facility or large brew pub.
Brewing Education Preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience.
