NJ Territory Sales Representative
Job Description
Jersey Cyclone Brewing is a local craft brewery located in Somerset NJ since opening in May of 2019. We are seeking a motivated full time Central NJ Sales Representative/Delivery Person to join our team. This person will sell and deliver our products to stores, bars, restaurants etc throughout the central NJ region.
Job Duties include (but not limited to):
• Build positive, trustworthy, lasting customer relationships through regular in person visits.
• Identify and seize customer business growth opportunities
• Execute monthly goals as related to business activities
• Maintain lists of current and potential customers in the company’s inventory and sales database
• Build upon existing relationships and establish new accounts with restaurants, bars, and retailers across New Jersey
• Build and grow a channel of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business
• Schedule and attend tastings as liquor stores
• Schedule and attend tap takeovers and bar events
• Attend and represent Jersey Cyclone Brewing at beer festivals
• Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with accounts, individual stores, and buyers
• Provide regular feedback to the sales team regarding opportunities, changes and competitive activity
• Assist with inventory counts, as required
• Manage and execute deliveries of product in a timely and professional manner using the company delivery vehicle
• Assist with payment collection
• Follow and comply with all NJ liquor laws, regulations, procedures & safety protocols
• Able to multitask and organize multiple deliveries and sales calls in and around the territory
• Assist with beer packaging and repackaging, as required
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• This position is based in Somerset, NJ, however travel will be necessary throughout Central and Northern NJ
• 21+ with a clean driving record, valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined, you take initiative and work autonomously; you bring creative ideas to the table and see projects through to completion
• Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Able to knowledgeably, clearly and enthusiastically promote our products to
customers
• Strong computer skills and writing skills
• Experience with MS Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Ekos, preferred
• 2 year’s experience in the spirits and/or craft beer sales preferred
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the company, including
evenings and weekends
• Have or able to get New Jersey Solicitors Permit immediately upon hire, requires fingerprinting and background check
• Must be able to regularly lift and move kegs and cases (up to 160 lbs), stand and drive for long periods of time, bend, reach, and maneuver in small spaces
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
