Carton Brewing is seeking a Sales Representative for northern NJ
Summary:
The Northern Sales Rep is responsible for creating and building relationships with key retailers within your region, executing within key on-premise accounts by growing sales and market share through product distribution. This position will concentrate on Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Sussex & Morris counties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Represent Carton Brewing at on-premise accounts in New Jersey
Build & execute Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Plans to achieve Annual Sales Goals
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key retailers
Represent brewery at festivals, dinners, tastings and events (occasional weekends & evenings)
Prospects new business by determining focus areas within territory, setting up presentations, and utilizing stop-by techniques
Maintain self-education on brands and the craft beer industry in general
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
Look at territory with entrepreneurial eyes to seek out new opportunities to increase sales and penetration
Investigates and resolves customer issues
Qualifications:
3+ years experience in beverage sales with a brewery, wholesaler or retailer (or similar relevant business experience)
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Comfort with brewery sales technology
Special Requirements:
Energetic, organized and motivated problem solvers
Passionate about craft beer and have deep knowledge of the local craft market
Have strong sales, communication and presentation skills
Lives in New Jersey (North Jersey preferably)
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to drive to account locations and to Atlantic Highlands, NJ
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, grasp, handle, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, bend, and type and or/write
High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape or physical qualities of product

From $35,000.00 per year, negotiable based on experience + performance based bonus
