Shmaltz Brewing Company is looking for a motivated, reliable and outgoing beer enthusiast to help spread the word and grow business through in-store demos and promos in Northern / Central NJ, NYC and some Philadelphia. Our chosen candidate will be responsible for promoting SBC products at major retail accounts, as well as independent stores, bottle shops and bars/restaurants. This is an opportunity to experience brand building from the ground level, but with a company with over 19 years of experience hand-crafting delicious and award-winning beers.
This is a long term opportunity, part time position – a great way to get involved in a crucial role to the fast explosion of great, quality craft beer.
Most tastings will take place in the evenings on Wednesday – Friday and afternoons Saturday & Sunday, so willingness to work nights and weekends is mandatory.
Description of Duties:
• Execute (3) to (4) store samplings per week (approx. 2-3 hours each).
• Visit local accounts for customer service calls to maintain and increase awareness and sales
• Report back to Shmaltz’s National Sales Manager
• Complete a Sampling Event Form, which will be signed off by the store/bar manager
Qualifications:
• Must be 21+ years old
• Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and a reliable automobile
• Willingness to work nights and weekends
• Must love craft beer and have a working knowledge of beer styles and flavors
Compensation:
• Flat fee per tasting, which includes time getting to and from demos and setup/breakdown time.
• Weekly stipend for time spent visiting accounts to schedule demos.
• Reimbursement for tasting related expenses (ie: cups, point of sale, etc.)
