Job Description
Ashton Brewing Co. is looking for a tap room manager to run our tap room. The tap room manager is responsible for the operation and growth of the tasting room and managing our staff of beertenders. We’re looking for a motivated, people person with a positive attitude to handle the daily operations of the tap room. This is an hourly wage + tips position.
Responsibilities
Manage a staff of 1 – 2 people on a nightly basis
Identifying and implementing ways to Improve efficiency of staff and customer experience
Gathering positive and negative feedback from the staff and customers and communicating it to ownership
Hiring and training new staff in accordance with Ashton Brewing requirements
Running pre-shift meetings to ensure staff is armed with knowledge of available beers and understands duties for the day
Making sure pre-shift and post-shift cleaning procedures are followed
Keeping track of inventory and reporting to ownership (merchandise, cleaning products,etc.)
Weekly meeting with ownership to prepare for weekend
Keep merchandise displays stocked
Monitoring online orders and stock
Input on social media posts
Event Management
Assisting in booking/selling private events and packages
Staffing for events
Working with clients on setting up event space for their specific needs
Managing events requirements
Experience in Taproom/bar/restaurant industry preferred
1-2 years of managerial experience in hospitality industry preferred
Ability to work Wednesday – Saturday on a weekly basis and Sundays twice a month
Must be comfortable standing on feet for up to 8 hours at a time
Some heavy lifting of kegs may be required
Good attitude and friendly personality
Trained in Alcohol handling procedures – TIPS Certified (or completed before starting)
