safety measures
I’ve been holding food truck festivals since July (one more this weekend in Bridgewater) and the rules for our beer event will be the same as our food festivals with over 1500 people per event, with a cap of 500-600 people at one time, (same as this event) We will be following the CDC and Governors guidelines:
You must wear a mask to enter and at all times when not able to socially distance. You can remove it or lower it while drinking or eating just like outdoor or indoor dining. Hand sanitizer will be available at each vendor.
All food and beverage vendors will be wearing masks and gloves while serving.
We are outside, not inside with space as big as the AC convention center. Each tent will be a minimum of 10 feet apart, not jammed up next to each other.
NJCB Members will save 15% with discount code BEER. To purchase tickets click the link below.
Did you know that Team NJCB will be attending? This is going to be an official #NJCB event since we can socially distantly drink beers together in a group setting! See you there!

Considering this is the first beer fest I know of that wasn’t canceled this year, I went in with a good attitude. That didn’t last long. A group of friends and myself got tickets for second session (5-9pm).
Upon entering, our checking tickets didn’t differentiate between drinkers and designated drivers. We had two with us that were given wrist bands and cups. Cheap, plastic cups. Two of which were cracked already.
By 90 minutes in, 4 City had already run out of beer. Never even got to try it. Immediately following them was today hawk and cypress. Every one of them gave the same reason.. First session was heavier than expected. Considering you had two equal sessions and everyone paid the same money for the same experience, why didn’t you split the beer evenly between the sessions?
Worse than that, half the breweries either didn’t show up or ran out of beer first session and left. This beer fest was a waste of time and money. I paid just as much as first session for half the amount of beer.
I don’t expect to be able to try every single beer, but I do expect to try one from every brewer. By 8pm,there were only a couple breweries still pouring beer while most of the others were gone.
Cape May Brewing was on the list of attendees. Not there. I messaged them and they claimed they weren’t supposed to be there.
No shows were :

The promoters owe the people that went to second session at least a partial refund. I would suggest not going to another of their functions again. I certainly won’t. I only want what I paid for and didn’t get half of it.
