Roger Wilco liquor store in Deptford, New Jersey is a new addition to the NJCB family. Tucked away just minutes from route 42, Roger Wilco has a significant craft beer selection. In speaking with Owner/Manager Rushi Modi, I found out that he is in the process of making renovations to his beer room in order to better showcase his pride and joy, the craft beer. This room has just about every variety you can think of when it comes to beer. Rushi also made sure to tell me, “We have beers from all over the world.” He wasn’t joking. As I perused the aisles I saw beer from your standard places such as Belgium, Japan, Italy, Czech Republic, and Germany, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the collection he had amassed from the other countries. Included in Rushi’s “All World” lineup were beers from the following lands: India, Portugal, Estonia, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Guatemala, Scotland and Brazil! The business of brining good wine and spirits has been in the Modi family for over 25 years, and Rushi himself has been at it for a decade. He really is on top of his craft beer game. Rushi also hinted at doing some tastings in the future, so check back for updates. I’m not sure if you have this but I will be looking for it. Please get Commonwealth Cider. It’s hard Apple cider. There is also Gregarious Ginger and Razzberet Tart. It is brewed here in our area out of Kensington PA. The Apple cider is all natural and low in sugar content compared to other common cider on the market and I’ve read good reviews on the taste. That is why I want to pick some up.
