New beer at Unos Brewpub in Metuchen

Uno’s Scotch Ale is the new beer. An addition of more grains has upped the alcohol percent to 8.5% ABV according to an email I got last week. Uno’s is located at 61 US-1 South in Metuchen. Uno Brewpub and Flying Fish Beer Dinner has been POSTPONED.

THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED. WE’LL UPDATE WHEN WE HAVE NEW INFORMATION. February 27, Uno Brewpub in Metuchen and Flying Fish are teaming up for a beer dinner at Uno’s.  Tickets are $50 unless you are an NJCB Member, you’ll save the normal 10% (a $5 savings) per ticket.  Flying Fish is going to be bringing Red Fish (or whatever it’s going to be called) as well as Exit 8 (the Honey Chestnut Brown Ale slated

Uno Metuchen’s new Brewmaster, Chris Percello and an update!

  Matt and I recently stopped at Uno’s Brewpub to chat with our friend Chris, the new Brewmaster at the restaurant.  Chris is hard at work formulating his new Oktoberfest recipe which you can see Matt sipping from the fermenter in some of the pictures below.  You’ll be happy to know that Chris is working on a few new recipes as well as keeping some of the older recipes, but maybe tweaking them a bit.

Uno’s Spring Cask Festival 2011 is this Saturday

Uno’s (chain) Pizzeria and Brewpub’s spring fest has been announced and it’s March 26.  This is exciting considering the first ever cask of Flying Fish Exit 4 in NJ will be on as well as casks from Yards, Weyerbacher and Bethlehem Brew Works and their house Scotch Ale.  More details to follow as they come in.  The event is pay as you go.
