Rio Grade: The Beer That Built the House event is scheduled for November 5. Here’s the info our friends from Mudhen told us about!
Last year MudHen and the rest of the CMC Breweries were approached by Habitat for Humanity of Cape May County to join forces on a stellar collaboration to help give back to our local communities. The way it worked was each brewery came up with their own version of a Fudge Porter, made with local Laura’s Fudge, and for each beer sold a portion of the proceeds were donated back to help build a home for a family in need. As a whole we ended up raising $25,000 to donate towards this project. It was a HUGE success and we thought, “lets do this again”.
So this year we are back in collaborative forces with Habitat CMC and our fellow CMC breweries to give back to another family in need! This year, each brewery will be releasing their own secret recipe for The Beer That Built the House, which is to be released at this year’s launch party on November 5th at 6PM at The Rio Station located in Rio Grande, NJ (3505 U.S. 9, Rio Grande, NJ 08242). We are inviting any and all lovers of craft beer and beyond to join us in raising pints and money to help build a Habitat home! Entry to the public is free of charge and there is also the option of purchasing a VIP ticket which grants you early entry to the event, a sampling of all the beers, merch, a raffle ticket, and a special “Brewer’s presentation”. VIP tickets ARE LIMITED, so purchase while you can!
Participating breweries are as follows: 7 Mile Brewing Co, Avalon Brew Pub, Bucket Brigade Brewery, Cape May Brewing Co, CoHo Brewing Co., Cold Spring Brewery, Gusto Brewing Co., Ludlam Island Brewery, MudHen Brewing Co, Slacktide Brewing Co.
We will be doing a tap takeover at the Rio Station that evening with proceeds benefiting a habitat home. Also there will be merch available for purchase as well as raffle tickets to win the Brewery Prize Package, which is a basket compiled with brewery merch, gift cards, etc. valued over $1,000.00!
Following the event, each brewery will release their beer in house on Saturday, November 6th until supplies last. Again, these proceeds will go towards the Habitat home.
This is a Cape May County Brewery Collaborative event that you don’t want to miss
