The Ridge Tavern in Basking Ridge has a new General Manager. Steve Prince recently took over running the Ridge Tavern and is looking to make some changes. One of those changes includes making Craft Beer an essential part of the Ridge Tavern. Steve is so committed to making this happen that with some assistance from bartender and beer enthusiast Sean and his friend Frank they reached out to us here at NJCB.
I had a chance to sit down and speak with Steve and it was immediately evident that he had the ambition and an open ear on how to make this succeed. Stay tuned for a lot of big news and events coming down the line.
For now lets talk about the beer. Currently, they have 5 taps with craft on it. The really cool thing about it though, is they are sticking to sixtels. They want beer to be fresh and they want the taps rotating so you get in there and have something new to try. They are also currently working on building a bottle list.
Currently on tap (as of 10/25 so it may be too late):
Harpoon IPA
Allagash White
Peak Organic Nut Brown
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Blue Point Oatmeal Stout
Waiting to be rotated in are:
Keegan’s Mothers Milk
Smuttynose Winter Ale
Stone Arrogant Bastard
Victory Hopdevil
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
And in bottle:
Long Trail Belgian White
Flying Fish Hopfish IPA
Otter Creek Copper Ale
Victory Festbier
And the biggest news of all? They have jumped on board with the NJCB Membership Club! That’s right members save 10% off the entire bill (food and beverage).
So stop by and say hello to Steve and Sean.
