HUGE is the best way to describe the beer garden in Jersey City. I don’t think there’s really another beer garden in New Jersey that has this many choices on tap too. I’ve been here once but it was not a place to go enjoy a beer. It’s a place to meet your friends and talk loudly to them across a picnic table. The place is a huge party destination for bachelor parties, birthdays and gatherings with friends. The tap list changes seasonally but always is full of German beers like Spaten and Hacker-Pschorr, many macros like Smithwicks, Guinness and Stella but also caters to more rare Euro beers like Dab and Czechvar (Bud in Europe, literally) and a few craft guys too. While I was there I had Terrapin Hopsecutioner and according to their site they have 60 Minute and a Helles Lager made for the Biergarten by Ramstein called the Zeppelin Hall. I know many people that go here that are not into craft beer and have a great time.
What do you think? Do you enjoy it here? Zeppelin Hall is convientelly located in Jersey City in Liberty Harbor. Use the address 297 Grand Street and follow these directions. The previous address will bring you to the intersection of Grand Street and Liberty View Drive. Head south on Liberty View Drive for 1 block. Zeppelin Hall Bier Garden is on the left corner. You can’t miss it, there’s a few bouncers out front IDing and disallowing hats and boots.
