Cape May Brewing Company Completes Expansion
Cape May Brewing Company completed their 15 barrel expansion and this month commissioned the new system. They have a bunch of 15 bbl and 30 bbl fermenters to go with it.
Cape May Brewing will be releasing their first bottles: Sawyer’s Swap, a 9% Barley Wine in 750ML bottles. They will have them for sale at the brewery.
Harvest Moon Brings on the Bourbon
On Saturday April 13 Harvest Moon Brewery & Cafe will be having a big release event for their Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine. Both beers were aged in the barrels for over 12 months.
The Harvest Moon cask night is the second Thursday of every month and has been very well received. This month’s cask night will be Thursday March 14 and they will be tapping an Irish Coffee Stout. Harvest Moon took their Paddy’s Irish Stout, added coffee from Highland Park’s OQ Coffee along with oak chips, Jameson and vanilla beans. First pour is at 6:30 and people are encouraged to come early as the casks have been going fast.
Harvest moon is starting a newsletter which will include information about upcoming events and beers. People can signup for the newsletter on their website or on their Facebook page.
Harvest Moon just tapped their Paddy’s Irish Stout and a fresh batch of Simcoe Double IPA. Later in the month they will be releasing Dark Side of the Moon Black IPA and Cluster Double IPA.
Tuckahoe Marshallville Wit About to Hit
Look for Tuckahoe Brewing Company Marshallville Wit in bars and restaurants in mid to late March. This white Belgian ale is lightly hopped and perfectly spiced. Using the finest water, wheat, pilsner malt, hops and honey they make their Marshallville Wit with warm South Jersey summer days in mind. This citrusy unfiltered ale has hints of chamomile from start to finish.
March 12th – Maloney’s Uptown in Atlantic City is tapping Tuckahoe beers and having a meet the brewers night. Stop by from 7-9 to ask us questions or just enjoy a few pints.
April 10th – Phillips Seafood on The Pier in Atlantic City will be hosting The Suds, Surf, and Turf event as part of Atlantic City’s Beer Week. Tuckahoe beers will be paired with a gourmet meal prepared by Phillips’ master chef, and New Jersey beer expert Gary Monterosso will be the emcee. Tickets can be purchased through Mission Tickets.
Ramstein Maibock Debut this Saturday, March 9th
On Saturday, March 9th, High Point Brewing Company will debut their Ramstein Maibock. They will offer a free open house event with guided brewery tour and wood barrel tapping of this award winning and 100 point rated Ramstein Maibock.
The High Point Brewery tasting room is open every day except Sunday for growler fills, visual tours and beer by the glass sales.
O’Halloran’s Irish Red Ale at JJ Bitting
JJ Bitting Brewing Company has O’Halloran’s Irish Red Ale (ruby-red color, malty flavor, smooth 5.25%) on tap as well as the Barley Legal Barleywine (mildly malty with lots of American hops 9.8%) and the very popular Chocolate Cherry Stout.
Seasonals and Casks at Krogh’s
Krogh’s Restaurant & Brew Pub, 23 White Deer Plaza, Sparta, has two seasonals coming up for April: an Irish Stout and an ESB! May features the 2012 NJ State Fair Best of Show Beer for Homebrewing, which is a Dortmunder Export and Maibok! Their Cask-Conditioned Ales for April and May will be a series of “Brewer’s Choice” IPAs, a collection of one-of-a-kind IPAs. Each cask will feature a specific hop variety or a special grain bill, or a combination of both.
