Barley’s Angels New Jersey Chapter to host only New Jersey based event with Rinn Duin Brewing on March 8

In a joint effort to raise awareness of women in the brewing industry, Beer for Babes and Rinn Duin Brewing will host an event as part of International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

The group will brew a red ale following the same recipe being used by women around the world, brewing together at on the same day. Rinn Duin is the only New Jersey brewery to participate in this international event.

In addition to raising awareness of females in the industry, proceeds of the beer’s earnings will go to the Pink Boots Society and another charity of the brewers’ choice. The Pink Boots Society is a USA-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with an international membership, and helps women further their beer careers through scholarships and the educational programs. The second charity could be of the brewers’ choice, making the beer more meaningful to his or her local consumers.

There is no experience needed, and participants will have the chance to brew on a commercial brewing system. The product will be sold at Rinn Duin’s brewing room. The cost is $15 and a pot luck lunch is also available. Rinn Duin is located at 1540 Route 37 W in Toms River, N.J.
