The Rotary Club of The Palisades is hosting its 14th annual Leonia Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 4-10pm. According to an email from Rory, this year the focus is on local beer!
Leonia Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for Rotary’s Weekend Snack Pack Program, which provides needy students with take-home packages of healthy foods.
For 2013, the event is featuring local specialty beers from BOAKS and Bolero Snort: BOAKS Two Blind Monks; BOAKS Double BW; Bolero Snort Ragin’ Bull; and the newly released Bolero Snort There’s No Rye-ing in Basebull.
The event is taking place at the American Legion in Leonia and will feature traditional German food, Oktoberfest-themed competitions, a bouncy castle to entertain the kids, and oom-pah music specially rehearsed by the Grateful Dead’s Michael Hinton.
