Belmar: Test Dept.™ taproom release of Tamarind IPA (very limited) is happening at Beach Haus Brewery
John from Beach Haus Brewery said on Friday, June 1 from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Join us for this Friday’s Test Dept.™ Taproom release of:
Tamarind IPA
ABV: 6.6%
IBU: 57On a recent shopping trip our brewmaster Tom noticed some dry tamarind. He’d seen it before but on this occasion he instantly thought “Now it’s time to try it in a beer.”
Tamarind is a type of tree that originally grew in Africa but now grows in tropical regions across the globe. The tamarind tree produces pod-like fruit, which is also a legume. Sweet but tart, and sometimes very sour, tamarind is potent.
Tom’s selected tamarind is aged in a classic English IPA directly in the keg. Tart and super tangy with earthy and wood notes in the finish.
If you have not had a beer made with Tamarind before…you now should!
