Great beer, great food, great people and now, great cookbooks. A very good friend to NJCB as well as loyal NJCB Member, John Holl is releasing his book at Barcade at the end of the month. Below is information on The American Craft Beer Cookbook: 155 Recipes from Your Favorite Brewpubs and Breweries release party at Barcade.

Come to Barcade Jersey City on August 29 as they welcome friend, beer writer, and bowtie enthusiast John Holl and toast the release of his American Craft Beer Cookbook.

John’s put together a draft list featuring beers from many of the breweries featured in his book – some of whom will be on hand to celebrate!

Barcade also be serving a few dishes from the cookbook as kitchen specials that evening, and the book will be available for sale as well.


Here’s the draft list so far…

Bolero Snort There’s No Ryeing in Basebull – 4.2% ABV – The first legal pour in New Jersey!

Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Lager – 9.0% – Brooklyn Lager’s Big Brother.

Dogfish Head Faithfull Ale – 7.0% – Pearl Jam style Strong Ale.

Epic Fermentation Without Representation – 7.5% – Imperial Pumpkin Porter.

Founders Mango Magnifico – 10.0% – Habanero Fruit Beer.

Great Lakes Class of ’88 Imperial Smoked Porter – 9.0% – Collaboration with Deschutes.

Harpoon Saison Various – 6.1% – Blended Farmhouse Ale.

He Brew – ?% – TBD!

Lost Abbey Angel’s Share – 12.5% – Bourbon Barrel Aged Strong Ale.

Schlafly Pumpkin Ale – 8.0% – You know the drill.

Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout – 11.8% – Perfect for when there’s no way to hold your head that doesn’t hurt!
