Lafayette: On September 17, Angry Erik is flowing at The Lafayette House. Here’s details from Heide from Angry Erik.LAFAYETTE HOUSE - BEERPAIRINGDINNER

Appetizer

Grilled Chicken Skewers* with a Seasonal Fruit chutney; paired with American Limey, an IPA brewed with key lime juice & zest. A sweet and sour combo, the tart fruit chutney with pears and peaches is balanced by American Limey’s bitter hop finish and emphasizes the subtle coconut flavor from the key lime zest & juice.

Soup

Creamy Cheddar Ale with fresh herbs and root vegetables; paired with Kayewla, a Belgian-style Pale Ale brewed with coriander, orange zest and cloves and a slight twist of American hops, named for the “fearsome horseman” himself, General Marquis de Lafayette.

Entrée

Tender Sirloin Steak* drizzled in an Applejack glaze & Jumbo Shrimp lightly battered and fried in an Angry Erik Beer served with a zesty dipping sauce accompanied by a vegetable risotto; paired with Bourbon-Barrel Aged Vanagandr, a Belgian-style Brown Ale, originally with light roast and caramel flavors, has been lightly kissed with bourbon to yield a toffee banana aroma to complement the applejack glaze with a smooth and subtle bourbon finish.

Dessert

Decadent Fudge Brownie and Vanilla Ice Cream, smothered with Stout Glaze; paired with Fika, meaning coffee break in Norwegian, a Sweet Stout with rich coffee flavors. You will taste and smell notes of dark chocolate and coffee with cream, just the right amount of sweetness to couple with your dessert.
