South City Grill’s Bergen County location has a decent selection of beer and pretty good food. I’ve been here a few times and I love the layout, the decor and the repurposing of old barn wood and things like that but it’s way too overpriced and the clients are somewhat trendy for my tastes. They do have a ever changing beer menu however and use BeerMenus.com actively. In fact, it was just updated two days ago and they’re featuring Brooklyn Cuvee Noire and Anchor Christmas 2010 among others. Some of the standard taps are Dogfish Head 60 Minute and Ithaca Apricot Wheat. I LOVE their fried olives. If you’re going, try those and an IPA to pair. Every Wednesday is $4 pint night.
Bistro 55 is on Route 17 in Rochelle Park. You can easily pass by it if you’re driving in the left lane due south of the GSP Mall. A menu can be found on their website as well.
Yeah up until a few months ago it was $3 pints. Really nice place though.
