The First Annual Craft Beerfest held at the Crest Tavern was a huge success. Many like-minded people came and everyone was commenting how great it was to have an event like that in South Jersey. The size of the event was perfect as people could mingle freely and talk to brewers, distributers, and fellow beer lovers. The variety of beers available left everybody happy and satiated. The Crest Tavern added some nice touches too like soft pretzel bites on all the tables, free lunch to designated drivers, and Spanky’s BBQ cooking up great food right outside the festival tent. Another added touch was fresh cups at each vendor. This is absolutely an event sure to grow and I am sure those that attended back will be back and word of mouth will surely increase attendance at this. Tim said he will limit the number of tickets sold to retain that open feel and unhurried casual atmsphere so be sure to buy your tickets quickly next year. The following beers were sampled and thoroughly enjoyed:
Next time you go, keep in mind, one of the owners, Tim says you guys can save $5 on a bill $25 or $10 on $50!! Pretty good deal! Check them out at 9600 Pacific Ave in Wildwood Crest or online or Facebook.
