Forgotten Boardwalk anniversary

Cherry Hill:

Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing Company is hosting a One Year Extravaganza on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 12pm-8pm.  Since its grand opening a year ago, the Cherry Hill based brewery hit the ground running with its catalog of beer and secured distribution throughout the entire state of New Jersey and the Philadelphia market.

The brewery will be celebrating in its tasting room, conveniently located at 1940 Olney Avenue, in between Route 73 and Route 70 in Cherry Hill.  Tours and tastings are available all throughout the day featuring a very unique tap list.   Including its most popular beer, a nitrogenized version of Funnel Cake, a vanilla cream ale, the brewery will offer “Lady Series” beers, variations from their flagship “What the Butler Saw.”  Some of these beers have not been offered since the opening.

“What would the butler have seen?  He would have seen a variety of ladies,” states owner and founder, Jamie Queli – who at 31 years old is one of the youngest female microbrewery owners in the nation.  There will be 9 different variations of What the Butler Saw available, including a very limited bottle release of Lady #9.  Lady #9 is a saison aged for nearly a year in red wine barrels with the addition of a wild yeast strain, Brettanomyces Lambicus.  Created by head brewer, David Bronstein, whose nearly 10 years of professional experience has been both pivotal in the large and consistent beer portfolio, as well as the downright quirky beer that has been flowing since day one.

On tap for the occasion:

  • Lady #1:  Rose & Hibiscus
  • Lady #2:  Chai Tea
  • Lady #3:  Szechuan & White Peppercorns
  • Lady #4:  Blackberry & Juniper
  • Lady #5:  Lemongrass & Lime Zest
  • Lady #6:  Cucumber & Ginger Root
  • Lady #7:  Orange Zest & Lavender
  • Lady #8:  Watermlon, Basil & Jalapeno
  • Funnel Cake Nitro
  • Funnel Cake (regular version)
  • 1916 Shore Shiver

  • Red Butler (What the Butler Saw aged in Renault Winery red wine barrels)

Patrons are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donations to the Food Bank of South Jersey – a charity that Forgotten Boardwalk has been working with since day 1.

Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing also partnered up with Uber, an international transportation network company, for their loyal local customer base, offering a $25 coupon to any first time riders during the event using the code FBB25 – as an effort to keep safety and responsibility a top priority.

Growler fills of the Lady Series beers will be available after 6pm while supplies last, and cans of Funnel Cake, 1916 Shore Shiver, What the Butler Saw and Morro Castle will be available for to-go purchases all day long.
