It was a cold and ordinary Thursday night on Haddon Avenue in Westmont, everywhere except for the Pour House. At 6pm on Thursday the 1st of December the PourHouse was tapping Troegs Mad Elf Vintage 2011 and 2010, along with Scratch #45 and #50. As early as 5:30 patrons lined the bar, making sure they didn’t miss out on this special craft beer treat. Overheard at the bar were people asking if they needed to take a number, or did they need to get in line! This was a most anticipated event. Crowds gathered as each minute inched closer to the releasing of the brews. Once 6pm hit, the rush was on. Erika and Victoria raced back and forth from the taps to fulfill the unyielding thirst of the beer connoisseurs that had gathered around. Beer after beer was poured with care and the merriment ensued. Nothing was able to break the vibe of the party on this night, not even the lackluster performance of the local professional football team. The beer kept flowing and the good times kept rolling. The Pour House was THE destination on this night. The ever popular brew drew consistent crowds well into the late evening. The turnout for this event was most impressive and the Pour House and staff made most gracious and accommodating hosts.
