Ryan from Molly Maguires sent over the following tap and bottle lists.  They’re pasted below the jump but before we get to that, check this out.

On Thursday September 6th Molly Maguire’s will be hosting our second craft beer tasting.  We have just added over 23 craft beers and we want you to come and taste them all!!!  We will be running this tasting event from 7pm – 9pm with a tasting fee of just $20!!  As an added incentive to come join us we will be raffling off a growler of Carton and a Growler of Kane!!  This is an event too good to pass up!

6.2% Czech Style Pilsner

A malt backbone to support hop bitterness mirrored in the aroma.  Some spicy hop character while remaining highly drinkable and crisp.

 

Blue Point Toasted Lager

Long Island, NY

5.5%  Vienna Lager

Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes for easy drinking.

 

Magic Hat #9:

South Burlington, VT

5.1% Fruit Beer

A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it.

 

Mothers Milk

Mother’s Milk is a dark and creamy milk stout with hints of oatmeal and chocolate.

 

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA

6% IPA

Continuously hopped for an hour (60 hop additions over a 60 minute boil) with lots of Northwest hops.  A powerful, but balanced IPA with a LOT of citrusy, grapefruit hop character.

 

Flying Fish Abbey Dubbel

Cherry Hill, NJ

7.2% Belgian Abbey Dubbel

Abbey Dubbel is an exceptionally complex beer with many interwoven flavors. This classic-style Abbey beer features an immense head with a fruity nose and a generous body.

 

Carton Boat Beer

Kolsch yeast and German malts are combined to be crisp and refreshing; while a generous amount of American hops have been added to keep it remarkable.. An IPA for everyday drinking.

 

Kane Single Fin

5.0% Belgian-Style Blonde Ale

A summer seasonal Single Fin was inspired and influenced by table beer traditionally brewed in the Trappist monasteries in and around Belgium.

A classic example of the American Brown Ale. Fuller-bodied and more strongly hopped than its English counter part. Notes of toffee, nuttiness, caramel, and sticky malt richness balanced out by spicy hops.

 

Allagash White

5.0% Belgian White

An American interpretation of a Belgian wheat beer.  Brewed with generous amounts of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peels.  Fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy.

 

River Horse Hopalotamus

8.5% Double IPA

Continual hopping during the boil fives this double UPA tons of hop flavor and aroma. Pine and citrus notes are backed by a rich malt base.

 

Flying Dog Raging Bitch

Frederick, MD

8.3% Belgian Style IPA

American IPA hoppiness meets Belgian funk. Sweet malty body contrasted with pine and grapefruit hop flavors with fruity yeast notes.

 

Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale

Escondido, CA

7.2% American Strong Ale

Starts off sweet with a mix of caramel and honey.  The sweetness gives way to piney citrus hops and grapefruit zest.  The bitterness subsides to allow a malty, toasted, bready, figgy finish with some alcohol heat.

 

Oskar Blues Dales Pale Ale

Lyons, CO

6.5% Pale Ale

At 6.5 it may as well be an IPA. A huge hoppy nose (some grapefruit and grass), and assertive, yet balanced flavors of pale malts and hops with a touch of caramel sweetness.

 

Goose Island Honkers Ale:

Chicago, IL

4.2% English Style Bitter

Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer.

 

Breckenridge Avalanche Ale

Breckenridge, CO

4.4% American Amber Ale

Caramel maltiness with slight hop character. A refreshing, yet flavorful beer that goes with just about anything, just about any time.

Brooklyn Sorachi Ace 25.4oz

7.6% Saison/Farmhouse Ale
A large Japanese brewery first developed the hop variety “Sorachi Ace” in 1988. A cross between the British “Brewer’s Gold” and the Czech “Saaz” varieties, it exhibited a quality that was unexpected – it smelled really lemony.

A clean, easy drinking Bavarian-style golden lager with crisp malt and a gentle, flowery hop finish.

 

Duvel Belgian Strong Ale 25.4oz:

8.5% Specialty Beer

This Belgian strong golden Ale is a well-hopped beer, fruity and exceptionally aromatic. It has re-fermented in the bottle.  Initially this beer was first called “Victory Ale” to commemorate the allied victory in the First World War.

7.7% Farmhouse/Saison Ale

A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness.
