On a typical Friday evening in Westmont people can see various establishments filling up with patrons ready to kick off the weekend the right way, a good meal, followed by some good drinks. This past Friday was no different, but there was a buzz in the air. The buzz was at Cork restaurant, located at 90 Haddon Avenue in Westmont, NJ. Cork was having a Magic Hat #9 Event appropriately on Friday, 9/9. Magic Hat #9 drafts were on special all night, and at 9:09PM those same drafts were just 99 cents! As the anticipated time approached, bartenders Marty and Cindy could be seen feverishly lining up glasses as proprietor Kevin diligently moved through the crowd and informed them on what was about to happen. When the clock struck 9:09, bartenders were off to the races, filling glass after glass, and doing so with speed, skill, and smiles. The night did not end after this as there was more in store for Cork patrons on this night. At 11:09, those who were fortunate enough to their hands on some Magic Hat #9, had a chance to win Phillies tickets, as they were automatically entered in a raffle with each #9 purchase. At 11:09, Kevin called out the winner for the hottest ticket in town, and thanked everyone for coming out for this annual event. If you missed out on this event, you will have to wait until next year, as 9/9 only comes once a year.
