From our friends at NJ Beer Co after they starting brewing their Pale Ale!
Does anybody have friends or family that own a farm? We have a constant supply of spent grain which is considered to be a good source of protein & vitamins in animal feed. It’s quite palatable & is readily consumed by animals. It can also be used as fertilizer, whole grains in bread, as well as for growing mushrooms, such as shiitake. Please share this with anyone who might be interested.
NJ Beer Co can be found in North Bergen at 4201 Tonnelle Ave (US 1 & 9). Check out directions at their site.

Been looking for a local source of spent brewers grain as a supplement to our animal feeding. Located near Wrightstown, NJ.
