Assistant Brewer/Cellar Person

Job Description

Westville Brewery is hiring an Assistant Brewer/Cellar Person

Westville Brewery is a new and growing micro brewery in the South Jersey / Gloucester County region of the State. We are looking for a motivated, experienced person looking to grow with our company. Brewing experience in a commercial environment is recommended. Must be able to recognize the need to maintain and adhere to a schedule.

Responsibilities may include:
Maintain inventory of ingredients
Perform all aspects of wort production and fermentation
Transfer and carbonation of beer
Cleaning, CIP, and sanitization of tanks and kegs
Brewhouse/cooler organization
Maintain documentation
Participate in events as needed

Abilities and Skills:
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week
Must be able to frequently lift 55 lbs, and more on occasion
Must be able to work independently
Must have strong communication and organizational skills

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1-5 years experience in a commercial brewery
Experience and knowledge of a commercial brewing system and equipment
Flexible work schedule that may require weekend and holidays
21 years of age and proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
