NJ beer job posting: Beertender for Wild Air beerworks

Asbury Park. Wild Air Beerworks is looking for beertenders when they open this summer/fall.

Wild Air Beerworks is hiring beertenders for our tasting room in Asbury Park. The right candidate will have an in-depth and well-rounded knowledge of beer styles. Our specialty here is lager and mixed fermentation, including saison, farmhouse and traditional sour executions. A solid understanding of these styles and the ability to delineate between the subcategories of these styles is important. We’re looking for friendly, engaging people who enjoy customer service in a fast-paced environment. Part-time and full-time positions are available and you must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on occasion.

Responsibilities:

Pouring beer
Experience using Lukr Taps is a plus, but not required
Fill crowlers and growlers for to-go service
Assist customers in navigating beer selection to find the right beer for them
Use proper glassware for each beer style
Maintain cleanliness of bar area and tasting room during each shift
Follow tasting room setup and cleanup protocol
Responsibly serve patrons and obey all ABC laws

Requirements:

Beertender experience required
Cicerone certification preferred, but not required
TIPS certified required
Engaging personality
Must have solid understanding of different craft beer styles and be able to communicate that to patrons
Ability to answer questions about different beers and styles in a fast-paced environment
Ability to move empty kegs
Hardworking and self-motivated
Must be able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time
Must enjoy craft beer
Follow all safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment at all times
Reliable mode of transportation
Flexible schedule. Must be able to work afternoons and evenings, including holidays
