Cellar/Sales Person at Third State Brewing
Job Description

Position begins at 25 hours weekly with expectation to expand in the next six months. Hourly wage plus commission on sales.
Responsibilities:
Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in a safe manner, position will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of equipment and maintaining quality control throughout all aspects of the brewing processes. Duties include.
• Receive and process raw material and perform inventory counts (5%)
• Cleaning and filling of kegs/cans (10%)
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and brewery/tasting room areas (20%)
• Sale and delivery of kegs to accounts using company vehicle (20%)
• Stage brewing ingredients to maintain efficient production (10%)
• Record instrument readings of beer during fermentation and carbonation process (10%)
• Work with the team to maintain fermentation process (10%)
• Assist in brewing process including milling grain, mashing in, transfer of liquid between vessels, spent grain handling (10%)
• Other duties as assigned (5%)
Position Requirements:
• 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Attention to process, cleaning and sanitizing details
• Ability to safely handle and work with hot liquid, caustic cleaning chemicals, and pressurized vessels
• Willingness to take direction
• Strong desire to learn brewing business from the ground up
• Team oriented
• Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Time management
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs manually and 150 lbs with equipment
• Professional and ethical conduct and communication
• Knowledge of brewing processes and terminology
• Prior work experience in a production environment helpful
Required Education:
• High school or equivalent
• College level business or science education a plus
• Home brewing experience
