Sloop Brewing Co. is looking for a motivated individual to join our sales team! This position is a perfect opportunity for someone with some craft beer industry experience looking to grow their skills in sales. Our ideal candidate is friendly and outgoing, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with strong communication skills. They have an existing network within the craft beer industry that they are looking to grow. This job involves ample opportunity to travel, meet new people, participate in a variety of events, and explore the craft beverage industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities //
Representing Sloop’s ethos and culture to current and prospective accounts and distributor partners.
Planning and executing on- and off-premise events; tastings, festivals, special events hosted by partners or accounts.
Conducting staff training at the account level to share the Sloop story and educate accounts about the products they’re selling.
Maintaining strategic partnerships with contacts at on- and off-premise accounts within the market footprint.
Maintaining distributor partnerships.
Defining and reviewing all distributor performance objectives; maintaining open communication to ensure goals are met and addressing any needs to adjust. This involves regular communication and scheduling regular meetings with distributor management.
Maintaining accurate inventory level reporting and appropriate forecasting to ensure all market goals are met.
Communicating with distributor partners to ensure their product is fresh and relevant for the market.
Developing and implementing incentive programs for distributors.
Working with distributor partners to provide marketing and sales support.
Analyze sales data to generate new leads and identify problem areas.
Executing the Sloop standard of quality control for on- and off-premise accounts.
Grow Sloop points of distribution within territory while managing allocations and executing chain goals.
Developing and growing craft beer knowledge, both brand-specific and industry-wide; knowledge of craft beer history, production, and techniques; staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements //
Preferably based in NJ or Eastern PA.
Industry experience – 2+ years preferred!
Basic knowledge of beer and the craft brewing industry.
An understanding of forecasting, points of distribution, rate of sale, volume driving planning, and execution.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), G-Suite (GMail, GCal, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Drive). VIP/iDig.
Ability and willingness to travel! Not just within the footprint, but to new territories for events and to our Hudson Valley tasting room in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Physical capabilities – lifting 30+ lbs multiple times, extended periods of standing, stooping, crouching, or climbing.
