Philly Beer Week Beer Tasting Challenge at Keg and Kitchen

Keg and Kitchen, Westmont

According to this info from Keg and Kitchen there’s a fun sounding June 8 event.

The Philadelphia Beer Challenge:

The rules are pretty simple. The participants are a team consisting of 2 people on each team at a cost of $25.00 per person. The beers will be poured blind. Each beer will be a 2 – 3 ounce pour for each member of the team. They will have a few minutes to smell taste and discuss the beer with each other. They will them be asked a series of multiple choice questions about the beer. It maybe 4 questions about each beer and how it is made or even what beer they are tasting. Each right answer is worth points. The team with the most points after 12 rounds or tasting is crowned the winning team the the craft beer tasting champions.

We have prizes and a trophy for the winning team to keep something for second and third place finishers.

I have some really great beers to taste and it should be a lot of fun. People can come and watch the event and even purchase the beers we are going to be tasting. I know it is short notice but I think it is unique and some of the beer lovers will enjoy the test.

Stay Hoppy Drinking Good Beer!
