The Shannon Rose Irish Pub locations in Clifton and Ramsey will hold a Blue Point Beer & Food Experience, featuring a selection of six beers from Long Island-based Blue Point Brewing Company’s complex portfolio, each including a complementary cheese and food pairing. The Shannon Rose Clifton, located in the Clifton Commons, will host its experience on Thursday, April 23 at 6:30PM, and The Shannon Rose Ramsey, located at 1200 Rte. 17, will host its experience on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30PM.
For Clifton’s Apr. 23 event, Blue Point will provide a cask of No Apologies Double IPA (with Lemon & Orange Peel)
For Ramsey’s Apr. 30 event, Blue Point will provide a cask of RastafaRye (with Szechuan Peppercorn)
Tickets for the Blue Point Beer & Food Experience, which will feature a tasting station format, are $29 per person. Menu selection includes:
Summer Ale
• Cheese Pairing: Morbier
• Food Pairing: Chicken Dumplings – Hand-crafted chicken dumplings with garlic, ginger and cilantro with a lemongrass ponzu dipping sauce.
Toasted Lager
• Cheese Pairing: Manchego
• Food Pairing: Margherita Flatbread – Crisp flatbread, grilled and topped with vine-ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, extra-virgin olive oil and fresh basil.
Company Hoptical Illusion
• Cheese Pairing: Provolone
• Food Pairing: Curry Chicken Bites – Grilled chicken medallions and a creamy curry sauce over a crisp jasmine rice cake with pickled vegetables.
White IPA
• Cheese Pairing: The Shannon Rose’s own beer cheese spread, made with Blue Point Brewing Company’s White IPA
• Food Pairing: Char-grilled Banger Sausages – Special-recipe banger sausages, grilled and served with scallion mashed potatoes.
Oatmeal Stout
• Cheese Pairing: White Cheddar
• Food Pairing: Slow-Braised Short Rib Boxty – Slow-braised short ribs over house-made crisp potato boxty, topped with chive aioli.
Rastafarye Ale
• Cheese Pairing: Blue Cheddar
• Food Pairing: Mixed Berry Tart – Mixed berries wrapped in puff pastry and baked golden brown.
